8 No-Nonsense Indoor Gardening Tips You Can’t Ignore
It’s easy to get swept away by the plethora of plant tips out there.
Here at Click & Grow, we believe indoor gardening should be easy and enjoyable. So, we put together this list especially for you.
If we had time to give you only 8 indoor gardening tips, these would be the ones...
1. Light and Water!
To put it simply, light and water are the bare necessities of plant growth. Concerned about how much light and water are necessary? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Click & Grow’s Smart Garden 3 & Smart Garden 9 have lamps with inbuilt timers, giving your plants a healthy amount of light for optimal growth.
The level of the water float in your Smart Garden indicates when it’s time to water the garden again. When the float reaches the bottom, it’s time to fill up the tank.
When filling up the tank, ensure the water float is level with the garden’s surface to avoid overwatering.
2. Harvest Your Edible Plants At The Right Time
Your delicious, edible plants should be enjoyed to the max. When harvested at the right time, you’ll experience their best flavors and biggest yields. Check out the ultimate Click & Grow harvesting guide to learn how and when to harvest your favorite plants from our collection.
3. Check Your Room Temperature
Plants are more sensitive to temperature than we realize. A lot of Click & Grow’s plants enjoy living in temperatures between 65-75°F (18-23°C). Exotic plants often enjoy temperatures around 90°F (32°C) while other plants prefer when it’s cooler.
Want to know the ideal temperature range for your Click & Grow plant? Simply click on the desired plant from our collection and then select the product’s ‘plant care’ tab.
4. Prune Your Herbs and Leafy Greens For Better Yields

5. Pollinate Your Fruiting Plants
In the great outdoors, fruiting plants are pollinated by bees. So, how do you pollinate plants indoors? Simple. Just use your fingertip. Check out this video to see how it’s done:
6. ‘Transplant’ Your Plants
All of Click & Grow’s plants are intended to live in Smart Gardens for the duration of their life cycles. There is the option, however, to transplant your plants to larger pots and grow them elsewhere.
If you’d like to try this with any of your plants, remember to do it before their natural life cycle is over. Once plants are transplanted, it’s important to add enriched soil and to remember to water them. Check out this great article for more details and this instructional video:
