Meet Martina, our Lifecycle Marketing Manager
Martina, Lifecycle Marketing Manager

Marketing, sales, psychology and designing user experiences have always been Martina's passion. She studied at Tallinn University of Technology and while completing her Business Management and Marketing degree, decided to pursue a career in a field that would combine them all. Outside of working hours Martina loves playing tennis, riding her bicycle, traveling and reading a good autobiography.

Martina first heard of Click & Grow when she was just 12 years old while watching the business idea contest "Ajujaht" together with her family. "I was very entrepreneurial and I loved seeing what kind of products, apps and services people came up with. Click & Grow was part of that show in 2010 and the idea of smart garden and growing my own plants seemed very cool. Little did I know that in 11 years I would be part of Click & Grow myself!"

Which aspect of working at Click & Grow do you enjoy the most?

I love the growing part of the company. We are always developing something new and want to reach new heights. It might be hectic at times but after completing a big project or launching a new product it always feels very satisfying. I also love the facts that we have a community of gardeners all over the world. Meaning that I have the opportunity to get a unique working experience since there aren’t many companies in Estonia who cover that many markets. And lastly I love the people that I work together with.

What are some of the most important things you’ve learned at C&G?

Probably the spiritual part of the plants that plants can be healing and help a person to be happier. It's not always about the food or vitamins but rather the process of watching the plants grow.

What is your favorite place in nature?

I love going to the sea/ ocean. There is something calming about walking at the beach or just watching the sea.

What is the biggest plant you’ve seen / most amazing plant you’ve had a chance to meet?

I don't think I have any or at least can't think of one.

Name a song that cheers you up every time:

"Walking on sunshine"

How many houseplants do you have?

Unfortunately not many since I am not good at keeping them alive. But I do have my Smart Garden 9 and I grow different plants there.

What is your favorite plant to grow in a Smart Garden?

Basil, since I am a huge lover of pesto pasta.
